ðÿž¶ music plays ðÿž¶ glenn gainor: there are filmmakers who touch us, that we may be aware of or we may not be aware of. but then when you combine that with what you're learning at the university, you then become who you are. i joined csun because of the journalism program and i also knew it had a great film program. and it was very hard to get into the film program when i was trying to get in. many people said: "csun and ucla and usc–they're very tough to get into– get into the school." and i said i will get into journalism and i soon as i got to the campus i quickly just said, i just got to get into the film program. when i was younger, it was alien to my family being in the entertainment industry
and i was always taught as a younger person to find something a little more conservative and i though journalism was. but, i really knew that i had to be in the film industry. i'm proud of it because it taught me to struggle to succeed. but, you have to have something that you are excited about and thats what drove me. the most important thing, i think to remember is you're not in this business to make one movie, you're in this business to make a lot. so, if you can enjoy what you do, you're gonna have better experience in life and you're gonna help people more, by being blessed to do what you like to do.
